Think Pink! In Motion Sponsors Hoops for Cure 2010
Support a serious topic that matters to every woman and her family – breast cancer research – by attending Hoops for the Cure, in which two Virginia collegiate women’s basketball powerhouses match up in a game to benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation and the search for a cure for cancer.
ODU will distribute free ODU Hoops for the Cure pink t-shirts, provided by Bon Secours In Motion, to the first 1,000 fans to arrive at the game. At 3pm, rivals ODU Lady Monarchs and the Lady Dukes of James Madison University play in a game that promises to be hard-fought.
Bon Secours In Motion, as event sponsor, will be at the game with health information and other free giveaways.

Lymphedema Therapy after Breast Cancer Surgery
Each year, In Motion therapists treat many women who have had a breast surgery. Lymphedema therapy is specifically for women who have had a breast cancer diagnosis and breast surgery.
The physical therapist assesses each patient’s strength, range of motion and swelling. In some cases, scar tissue affects mobility.
Typically, the therapist uses massage techniques to help the body’s natural tendency to carry excess fluid away from the swollen area. Mechanical pumps can also be used. The therapist will introduce the patient to stretches and exercises that will help.
