ATC – Certified Athletic Trainer
Cert. MDT – certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, also known as the McKenzie method of assessment and treatment of spinal pain
CCC-SLP – Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
CHT – Certified Hand Therapist
CSCS – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
DO – Doctor of Osteopathy
DPT – Doctor of Physical Therapy (since the late 1990’s, the new terminal degree of advanced physical therapy training)
LPTA – Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant
MEd – Masters of Education (in, for instance, Kinesiology)
MD – Medical Doctor
MPT – Masters Degree in Physical Therapy
MS – Master of Science
MSPT – Master of Science in Physical Therapy
MTC – Manual Therapy Certified
OCS – Orthopedic Certified Specialist
