The NCAA has tracked injuries in women’s softball, soccer and basketball since 1988. The most common women’s sports injury is a torn or injured ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament). Due to differences in body mechanics, women injure their ACL’s a much higher rate than male athletes.

Need Something Different?
Sportsmetrics™ is a six-week jump training program that incorporates stretching, plyometric exercises (training to increase speed and force of muscular contractions) and weight training. Focusing on developing overall leg strength while improving balance. Through special progressions, it teaches athletes proper techniques for jumping and landing.
Sportsmetrics™ has been proven to decrease risk of knee injuries in athletes as well as increase muscular power and vertical jump height. Injury preventtion is particularly important to female athletes, who are prone to ACL tears when their bodies are challenged by the special stresses of basketball, soccer, volleyball and other sports.
In Motion Sports Performance centers offer Sportsmetrics sessions in seasonal programs. A typical 6-week long program meets three times per week, including pre-test and post-test evaluations.
