A Stroke Ahead: In Motion Swim Stroke Analysis
When it comes to improving sports performance in the water, the key is being able to pinpoint weaknesses in stroke, kick and body position. Many swimmers are not fully aware of their body’s movements under the water, but with the use of Dartfish Video Technology and the Hydroworx1000® resistance pool our sports performance specialists are able to help swimmers see and understand their movement in the water. This visual assessment helps athletes make refinements to their form that help shave seconds off the clock.
The Dartfish process begins with an assessment of the athlete in terms of stroke specialties. Each swimmer’s stroke is filmed and then compared to model clips for proper technique. This analysis strengthens an athlete’s understanding of the technical aspects of training by helping them address stroke defects for more efficient performance. Swimmers receive a personal copy of the video recordings, which they can review themselves at home.
