An Interview with The Keiser Infinity Triple Trainer

The Keiser Infinity Triple Trainer

I recently had a chance to sit down with The Keiser Infinity Triple Trainer, or 3K as I call him, for an interview and a chance to find out more about him.

Me:  Hi 3K, thanks for sitting down with me.  How long have you been with  In Motion?

3K:  I have  been at the Greenbrier location at Chilled Ponds for about 9 months.  My brother, 3k-2 has been at the Healthy Way location in Virginia Beach for about 2 months.

Me:  You look young for having such a high level position at In Motion, how old are you?

3K:  Well, thank you for the flattery. The Keiser Family began more than 30 years ago in the training of world class athletes. We began in sports because we recognized that there are two components to any human movement; 1. The force you produce, and 2. The speed at which you produce it.

Me:  You look rather intimidating, what exactly do you do?

3K:  Well, in a nutshell, I make training more efficient. While everyone else focused only on the development of force, I focus on both. Thanks to Keiser’s Pneumatic Technology (air pressure) anyone can train at any speed at any given resistance. By developing speed as well as strength, you are developing power. Research has shown that power is the key to human performance; whether you are an elite athlete or a weekend warrior.

Me:  Wow, that is impressive.  Why are you called the “Triple Trainer”?

3k:  As you can see from my photo, I have three stations.  So I can train 3 individuals at once.

Me:  You said your key training focus is power – what kind of power?

3K:  Rotational Stability and Power.  I am all of your gym-rat cable exercises condensed into precision and efficiency.  Today’s gyms are incorporating areas dedicated to cable and functional training protocols, where multiple machines are required to service the needs of customers.  I can perform an unlimited number of exercises, ensuring maximum versatility.  Even exercises requiring a great deal of agility (as in sport specific training) can be done with ease.

Me:  I’m sold!  Do you have a success story you can share with us?

3K:   I proved my point on the field of competition early on when I began training Mike Powell in 1988 to break Bob Beamon’s long jump record set in Mexico City 20 years earlier. A record that many felt could never be broken. In 1991, at the World Games in Tokyo, Mike Powell broke Beamon’s record with a leap of 29′ 4 1/2″ (8.95m) a mark that still stands today! An analysis of Powell’s jump credited his training and ability to generate very high forces very quickly and take-off to get the height necessary to break the record. That’s Keiser Power!

Me:  Any athlete would be honored to train with you, honestly.  Do you have any closing thoughts for your fans?

3K: I may be new to the In Motion facilities, but performance based sports training is nothing new to Keiser (or In Motion). In fact, due to the proven effectiveness of my patented Pneumatic System I am designed with the functional trainer in mind. The world’s top training facilities know that Keiser is the be-all that ends all when it comes to training.

Me:  Thank you, 3K-I am in awe and you rock, wanna hang later?

3K:  Um… Thank you. It was going so well, don’t make it weird.
