Experts In Motion – Meet Stephanie Toothaker

Stephanie Toothaker, In Motion Staff Member

Stephanie Toothaker is a DPT and our Clinical Coordinator of our In Motion Clinic at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton. She began her position in January of 2010 and, as a Clinical Coordinator, she manages the day to day operations of the clinic and  evaluates and treats patients with general orthopaedic diagnoses.

Some of her areas of expertise include manual therapy, orthotics and evaluation and treatment of sports related injuries. In March she will be taking the Orthopaedic Specialty examination. Her love of PT transfers over to her home life-her husband will graduate from PT school at ODU this May! Her two cats, Tuffy and Roxy, have applied to PT school and are waiting to hear.

Stephanie was a multi-sport athlete in high school and still likes to work out-she is tough!  She can do 25 dips while weighted down with a 25 lb weight!

Her favorite thing about working at In Motion are her co-workers! “Everyone has great energy, a positive attitude and are very talented clinicians/trainers etc. I also enjoy the opportunity to help patients recover from their injuries.” One of her co-workers has this to say about her: “I never enter the clinic and not see a smile on her face.  She is warm and welcoming with a smile that lights up the the clinic.”
