3 Tips for Eating While You Exercise

Part of your workout preparation is making sure that you have the nutrition required to sustain a prolonged period of exercise. Too little fluids or carbohydrates can result in cramps and digestive issues. Here are three tips to remember when it comes to exercise nutrition:

  1. Eat beforehand – start your workout with adequate fuel (carbs) and well-hydrated.
  2. Experiment – Try new products during training sessions to determine the mix of snacks and hydration that works best for you.
  3. Hydrate constantly – Start drinking before you workout and then drink continuously through the exercise to replace your sweat loss. Make sure you have a sense of your fluid needs.
