Make Time for a Healthy Family
Today’s busy families may not feel they have a moment to spare, but spending time together fosters mental and physical well-being for parents and children alike. Clear space in your schedule for health – together!
Active time can be a great bonding experience. Exercising as a group sets a positive example for children and can be easily incorporated into other activities. For instance, bike to the library together, walk to the park. Older kids? Train for a charity walk together and talk about your day – away from the digital distractions.
Meal time is another ideal time to set a positive example. Eating together can help kids eat healthier (and learn table manners), but it doesn’t have to start around the table. Involve the whole family in meal planning, shopping, preparing, and cooking dinner!
